This year's annual Least of These Ministries Summer Banquet, Voices of Hope in Haiti, was held once again at Calvary Church, on Landis Valley Road, outside of Lancaster on August 3rd.  Once again it was a record setter, topping last year's best-ever event!

Our featured speakers were familiar faces to supporters of LOTM and Radio Lumiere.  Board member Beth Weaver and long-time supporter Teresa Long were our featured speakers this year.  Both were, with their husbands, missionaries in Haiti and intimately familiar with Radio Lumiere and the MEBSH church conference.

LOTM Executive Director Dale Long gave an update regarding the victories that we and Radio Lumiere have achieved in updating systems, and providing relief to victims of gang violence.  He also recognized recently retired Board member Dave Olson, who is still actively volunteering his time as he continues to spearhead our initiative to bring streaming capabilities to as many of the RL stations across Haiti as we can. 

Guest and fellow missionary Dave Garman of Instruments of Christ-Haiti gave a brief hello and appraisal of conditions on the ground from his monthly sojourns to Haiti.

A highlight of the evening was when LOTM President Doug Brubaker announced our recent partnership with Faithward Advisors and the creation of the Dale Long Founders Legacy Fund.  This fund was created to provide an opportunity for individuals and families to leave an estate or legacy gift, or create a tax-advantaged giving program to LOTM.  As Dale is starting to phase out from day-to-day activities with LOTM, the Board wanted to recognize and honor him, especially in front of our most dedicated and passionate supporters and friends.  This fund was the Board's way of memorializing Dale's passion, heart, and commitment to our brothers and sisters in Haiti.  

We are thrilled to share with you that not only did we once again have a record turnout for our event; our donors also were very generous, as we raised over $35,000!

We also were pleased to announce that we will be sending a work team to Haiti sometime in the first three months of 2027.  There has been sufficient safety and security in the southern part of the country.  Peniel has been asking for some time for us to send a team.  We feel God is placing on our hearts that it is time to go again. 

God's grace and your generosity has enabled LOTM to provide the financial and technical support to RL, keeping it not only on the air but also in a way that is more secure and more consistent, with less interruption.  Your support has also enabled LOTM to bring some measure of comfort and relief to the Haitian people in addition to equipping Radio Lumiere to fulfill their mission of spreading the Gospel!
