This year's annual Least of These Ministries Summer Banquet was an amazing and record-setting event, held once again at Calvary Church, on Landis Valley Road, outside of Lancaster.

Our featured speaker was a familiar face to supporters of LOTM and Radio Lumiere, Ginger Muchmore.  She served for many years as a missionary with her husband David in Haiti. She explained that Radio Lumiere provides reassurance to its listeners who live in fear of gangs, have lost homes, and have suffered personal losses.  Even though it seems so hopeless in Haiti, the Christians and other listeners to Radio Lumiere have tremendous joy.  It is especially evident in their Sunday worship services; they have a joy rarely seen in affluent North America.  

LOTM Executive Director Dale Long also gave an update regarding our solar, transmitter, and efficiency projects; and our Victims of Gang Violence program to help relieve some of the suffering.  He also introduced Board member Dave Olson, who shared about the progress with the initiative he has spearheaded to bring streaming capabilities to the RL stations across Haiti. 

We are thrilled to share with you that we had a record turnout for our event this year!  Our donors were very generous, as we raised over $30,000!

Our Board has concluded that this past year once again was a very successful year for Radio Lumiere and our special projects in Haiti, despite not having a physical presence in-country.  God's hand has been on us and all around us, Peniel, and the staff at Radio Lumiere. 

Peniel and his staff have accomplished much, thanks to your generosity!  Your giving and support has enabled LOTM to provide the financial and technical support to RL, keeping it not only on the air but also in a way that is more secure and more consistent, with less interruption.  Your support has also enabled LOTM to put money back into the Haitian economy through Peniel and his staff, thereby equipping Radio Lumiere to fulfill their mission of spreading the Gospel and providing hope to a desperate people!
